I always disliked how they slapped someone elses exact gi on gohan.

Gohan was specifically trained by the kai’s but did not unlock god kai. The design is a callback to the original super saiyan design and the form is basically gohans rage at its peak. Yamcha is gohan’s real mom. Really like the black undershirt design. As for your god comment, we clearly see characters like jiren, broly and. At least we know that his choice in fashion would explain where his future protege, future trunks, got his look! Yeah the future trunks one looks like the natural progression for his design after the cell saga, i like his early buu saga design as is but would have preferred if they went with.
